The UNF Artificial Intelligence Lab and the BioMedInfo Lab jointly are offering a full-time position for a highly self-motivated, graduate research assistant in the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Biomedical Informatics, specifically on Explainable Automated Inconsistency Detection in Biomedical and Health Literature. With the sheer increase of biomedical research publications and clinical documentation, inconsistent and contradictory findings can be pervasive throughout biomedical sciences literature. Hence, detecting and explaining such inconsistencies about clinical interventions is of the utmost importance. To automate this process, methodologies and techniques such as machine learning, natural language processing, and logic programming will be used.
The graduate research assistant will work in collaboration with faculty from the School of Computing, the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Department of Psychology. This full-time position is a paid position, including a semesterly stipend of $5,000 and a full tuition waiver, for both Fall 2021 and Spring 2022.
